AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina Contracts with Mission Health Partners to Serve North Carolina Medicaid Recipients

AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina and Mission Health Partners announced that they have signed a contract that will allow AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina's Medicaid managed care members to receive care from Mission Health Partners' hospitals, physicians, and other affiliated providers. AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina is a prepaid health plan that is slated to begin serving North Carolina Medicaid enrollees in July 2021 and is part of the AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies.

Based in Asheville, Mission Health Partners is western North Carolina's largest clinically integrated network. It currently comprises 1,100 physicians and eight hospitals, including Margaret R. Pardee Hospital and Murphy Medical Center, in addition to the six Mission Hospitals, which include the only dedicated Level II trauma center in the region.

AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina is one of five prepaid health plans selected by the state to serve children and adults in the Medicaid and NC Health Choice programs.
