Provider and pharmacy data in our online directories is updated daily. If you prefer, you can download a copy of our printed provider directory (PDF), which is updated monthly. You may also request a copy to be mailed to you at no charge by calling Member Services. If requested, a printed copy will be provided within five (5) business days.

AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina may use best practices to exclude a Network Provider from our consumer-facing directories if ACNC includes in a Provider Directory Policy, or other policy as appropriate, an explanation of the process and rules used by the ACNC when deciding whether to include a provider in a consumer-facing directory. As used in this section, best practices specifically include, but are not limited to:

  • A provider opts out of being in the directory, such as when the provider is not open to the general public (e.g., a student health center open only to students of the educational organization).
  • A provider cannot traditionally be contacted directly for making appointments, such as facility-based providers like anesthesiologists or radiologists.
  • Provider is otherwise outside the scope of what would normally be included in a provider directory, such as a value-added service.
