Trauma-informed Care
AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina, in collaboration with Project ECHO®, is excited to offer a no-cost training series on Trauma-informed Care. This series will be delivered via Zoom during nine one-hour sessions beginning in February and ending in May. Providers may participate in one or more of the sessions. Continuing education credit will be available at no charge to participants. See session information and register PDF.
Project ECHO is a flexible practitioner-to-practitioner, case-based virtual learning tool that functions like "virtual chart rounds" where practitioners present de-identified patient cases for peer mentoring and guided practice. As information is shared, practitioners develop expertise in new areas of care. This allows our members to get better care from primary care practitioners in AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina they already know and trust, right in their community.
Project ECHO® is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the health care team. As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Project ECHO® is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program.
