AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina has a special program for pregnant members called Bright Start. We want to help you have a healthy pregnancy.
AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina helps moms-to-be make healthy choices for themselves and their babies through the Bright Start program. Early and complete health care before your child's birth is the key to having a healthy baby.1
The Bright Start program helps support our members during their pregnancies. Each woman enrolled in Bright Start will receive educational materials. Members can call our registered nurses at 1-833-475-2262 with any questions or concerns and to get access to the care they need during their pregnancies.
In addition, all high-risk members will be contacted by a Care Manager who is located within the community's local health department. Partnering together with our local health departments, our goal is to provide coordinated and complete care throughout each mother's pregnancy

Join today and, as part of the program, you can earn these incentives on your CARE Card:*
- $10 for every prenatal visit (up to seven per pregnancy)
- $15 for completing a postpartum visit within 7 – 84 days of delivery (one per pregnancy)
Baby Blues?
Sometimes new moms feel down or sad after having a baby. This is normal. Please ask yourself these two questions:
- During the past month, have I often felt down, depressed, or hopeless?
- During the past month, have I had little interest or pleasure in doing things?

Keys to Your Care®
This is a special texting and outreach program for AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina members who are pregnant, brought to you by Bright Start, the AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina maternity program.
Keys to Your Care will send you text messages every week during your pregnancy and for the first 15 months after your baby is born.
