AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina Earns NCQA Health Plan Accreditation
AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina has demonstrated its commitment to quality through earning health plan accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
The managed care organization serving North Carolina Medicaid beneficiaries achieved accreditation by completing NCQA’s rigorous accreditation process. This included strong performance on Healthcare Effectiveness and Data Information Set (HEDIS®) measures and Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS®) surveys.
“For more than three years, we have worked with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services to help build a Medicaid program that serves the North Carolinians who need it today. Achieving NCQA accreditation demonstrates our commitment to NC Medicaid’s goals,” said AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina Market President Heidi Chan.
AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina began serving the state’s Medicaid Standard Plan enrollees in July 2021, helping North Carolinians get care, stay well, and build healthy communities by addressing the acute and broader social factors that drive health outcomes.
